The Romanian Society of Anesthesia and Intensive Care (SRATI) expresses sincere regret
and respectful condolences to both the bereaved family and the Israeli Society of Anesthesia
(ISA) on the passing off our Dear Friend and distinguished Colleague
Professor BENJAMIN DRENGER, former President of the ISA.
Professor Benjamin Drenger was a brilliant anesthesiologist and a pioneer of anesthesia
in cardiovascular surgery.
He served his country and fellow Israelis with honor and determination in both peacetime
and wartime.
Dr. Benjamin Drenger was an open and fraternal spirit who promoted international medical
cooperation beyond prejudice and imaginary barriers.
In particular, he was a great friend of Romania and a dear and sincere partner of Romanian
anesthesiologists.
Today, we bow with deep respect and promise NOT TO FORGET HIM!
